Furigana That Steps Back as You Learn

Furigana is most useful before I know a word and easiest to ignore after I do. Aoede can now hide readings for vocabulary that has matured through review or that I have marked as known. A faint tell remains in the text; tapping reveals the reading and records that I needed help, while a long press can mark the word as forgotten. The decision is made per lemma, so the same word behaves consistently throughout the book.

The threshold is adjustable to 7, 30, or 90 days, with an override for each document. Vocabulary cards also show JLPT level badges, and learner mode uses that information to prioritize Japanese review on Today. Furigana has stopped being a single global switch and started responding to what I am actually learning.
