From Reading to Reviewing

Aoede has crossed from helping me read into helping me remember. I can select a passage, generate vocabulary, sentence, cloze, question-and-answer, or definition cards, edit them before saving, and review them with a four-button FSRS schedule. Japanese vocabulary stays dictionary-first, using a model only when JMdict has no answer. Cards can also be written by hand, so the study system does not depend on AI.

A new Today screen ties the loop together with the current streak, recently read books, and reviews due now. The app treats target language and study mode as separate choices, which means someone can keep Aoede as a straightforward reader while learners opt into cards, review, Japanese lookup, and the features that combine them.
